DU MERIDIAN

 

 

The Du Meridian is an unpaired meridian also known as the governing vessel. It starts at DU 1 and ends at DU 28.

 

DU 1 location: midway between the tip of the coccyx an th anus. Indications are diarrhea, bloody stools, hemorrhoids, prolapse of rectum, constipation, pain in lower back, epilepsy.

 

DU 4 location: in the middline between lumbar vertebra 2 and 3. Treats backpain, irregular menstration, diarrhea, indigestion.

 

DU 20 location: on the top of the head, midway between the ears. This point is good for headaches, dizziness, tinnitus, coma, and mental disorders. 

 

DU 28 location: inside the mouth at the junction of the gum and upper lip. Clears heat and good for mental disorders. 

 

These vessels connect the uterus with the kidneys, brain and heart.
