The Kidney Meridian, also known as KD, starts at KD 1 and ends on KD 27.
KD 1 location: on sole of foot in depression when foot is plantar flexed. This point is good for restoring consciousness, shock, restless mind, severe pain such as toothache.
KD 3 location: midway between the tip of the inner ankle bone and the Achilles tendon. This point is good for kidney qi deficiency, lower back pain, tinnitus, poor and poor vision.
KD 27 location: depression on the lower edge of the collar bone, 2 cun from midline.
The Kidney is responsible for the growth of the bones, nourishes the marrow, which is the bodys source of red and white blood cells.
In Chinese Medicine the brain and spinal cord are forms of marrow. Someone with poor memory, unclear thinkin and back ache are associated with deficient kidney energy.
The emotiions associated with the kidneys are ones of courage and willpower. Feelings of fear and paranoia can be the result of an impaired kidney meridian.
